Sensing Our Groundedness Workbook, the second in the series Cultivating Connections: Experiential Exercises for Home and Horse Barn, includes grounding and settling strategies, as well as a basic overview of autonomic nervous system survival states—what they are and how we experience them.

This workbook starts with exercises to help us become more self-aware, then focus on our sense of groundedness, our connection with the earth beneath us. After that we explore what it’s like to upset our connection with the ground and then regain it.

Once again, Lasell invites us to grow our embodied sense of groundedness as we explore the hows and whys of the experiential exercises in this book. Because these exercises enhance our lives and life skills generally, this workbook can help anyone find a path to groundedness—no horses required.
